This extensive experience has made Ian well-known and highly respected in his field, and Ian currently works with a team of expert consultants who partner with organisations to build sustainable individual and organisation-wide capability and capacity to meet current and future business needs.

Andrew Gilbert

Andy has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry including roles in development and operations.  This provides a sound foundation to assist organisations in understanding the cultural and procedural issues necessary for continual improvements and cultural changes.  

He has been involved in and delivered a number of organisational change programmes and instrumental in the development of QA’s on-line academy that utilises multiple different delivery mechanisms.

Tom O'Shea

Building on a successful career in project delivery Tom has been a professional learning and development consultant for over a decade.  The projects he has successfully managed include culture change, people development, business process improvement, marketing strategy and web-based services, in a variety of business environments and often with high degrees of stakeholder complexity.

Tom leads clients in the design, development and delivery of innovative project, management services across the entire spectrum of QA’s customer base, linked to business and individual performance improvement.

Tom is experienced across the disciplines of project, programme and portfolio management including method development, competency assessments, learning programme design and development, tailored training, coaching, workshop facilitation, and senior management engagements.

Andy Thomson

Consulting Partner

Andy has worked in the computer industry for 40 years and, for over half of that, as a learning and development specialist.  He wrote and delivered technical training for business analysts and developers before specialising in tailored competency-based assessment and development programmes.  Andy's eclectic experience, working with staff in IT technical and non-technical roles, management and leaders, has given him a unique perspective for his role in the Organisational Consultancy team.

Andy specialises in skills management practices, role-based skills profiles and competency-based solutions, particularly using SFIA, "Skills Framework for the Information Age".  Andy is a SFIA Accredited Consultant and represents QA on the SFIA Council (the official SFIA advisory body), of which Andy is also Chairman. Andy’s recent
client engagements have included universities, a major outsource services provider, an NHS commissioning support unit and a large insurance services provider.
